Gorgeous 19thC European sterling silver (unmarked) purse handle-turned-necklace on faceted blue flash labradorite. This is one half of 2 sides from the original, hinged set.
With stunning, all-over pierced/cut out details such as flowers, flourishes, a central angel flanked by griffins and topped with a shell, and an artichoke snap closure half, it has been inverted to become a one-of-a-kind statement piece. Off-set dolphin fish ring with blue flash labradorite drop was once the chain holder for this side of the original set. Original holes line the inside edge where a cloth (silk, velvet...) bag would have been hand sewn to this frame.
1.75" wide x 5.5" at widest points.
Sterling clasp and extender.
